Trial and error then. I'd suggest getting 1 gallon in a bucket, add a little bit ammonia at a time until it gets to 5ppm. Then multiply by no of gallons in your tank. :good:
 
Dont have more than 6ppm or you are running into dangerous ground. Aim for 5ppm. The reason why say 1ppm is no good is because a fully stocked tank would produce more ammonia than this. If you aim for 5ppm, when your filter is cycled, you should in theory be able to fully stock your tank straight away, because you will have enough bacteria to cope with it.
