Question About Using Water From The Hot Tap

If you're still worried you could get the API Copper Test Kit. I did that just so I knew and was pleased to find zero readings in my tap water.

I used to do all sorts of things to adjust the water from the cold tap (such as adding some kettle water, using a spare heater etc)
For a year or more I have been taking the head off the shower and filling my containers from there with perfectly matched water. My shower is fed from the hot tank.

The thing is to use a good water conditioner (such as Prime) although I am guilty of using the cheapest (lack of funds ) but I am glad to say all my stock are perfectly happy and all have only one head etc

I've just been to B&Q to buy a new hose pipe and a rubber connection with a jubilee clip so I can take the shower head off and connect the hose and then run it down to the tank. I can run the water to the bath mixer tap until I get the hot/cold mix just right then I'll switch the lever to divert down the shower hose, hosepipe and fill the tank.

I'm going to collect rainwater from my outhouse fall pipe to give me soft water to mix with during the winter. I'll clean the gutter and wait till its rained for a good few minutes to rinse the roof tiles and then put my dustbin under.
