well im pretty close to pressurized now since i have my regulator and diffuser . question.. i know the diffuser has the ceramic disc but can it only be used with a pressurized system? im thinking yes since i cant even blow thru the thing, and it did nothing with my hagen hooked up except build alot of back pressure in the cannister. maybe i didnt let it build enough pressure. when i unscrewed the top it released alot more pressure than normal. but after removing and checking i couldnt even get close to blowing through the thing..thanks

never mind as usual i had no patience. i hooked it back up and waited..plenty of bubbles now..sorry

i must say though..this thing works great. ive never seen so many bubbles and they all almost completely disappear before surfacing. i guess this means i get a really good absorption rate. hope it stays this way.i got a link if anyone else is interested.

ahhhhhh so beautiful. it looks 10times better then that ladder i will tell you that. its pretty small actually. smaller then i thought. total bout 2and a half inches tall bout 1and a half wide.really much better than the ladder.i highly reccomed it. theres so many tiny bubbles floating around.wish my plants would pearl like that :)

I going to be using the azoo one which is similar to yours except made in plastic with a built in bubble counter. These type, as long as it's a receommeded one seem to be the best in diffusion. The only drawback they have to be removed for regular cleaning as a slime coat builds up on the plate.

Can these glass diffusors be used with a DIY system, or are they just for pressurized ones?

They can be used with DIY.

I'm about to order myself one of the exact same ones, so thanks danski!

no prob pseud. yes they can be used on a diy system.i have mine on a hagen system. it takes about 20min for it to build enough pressure to push it thru the ceramic.
