Quarantine tank stocking...

I will let the experts on unplanted community tanks help you out. I'm sorry I interfered with your plans.
Its ok... And again it would only be for the quarantine tank... I will have the main tank planted. I just dont have the money to put into a tank that won't even be up for 2 months.

Artificial planting is perfectly fine for a QT, they will help de-stress new fish and help them feel safe and secure whilst you make sure they are free from any issues just as living plants would. Tbh using artificial in a QT is better in a way since after each use of the QT you can rinse the plants off in old aquarium water and keep them ready for use the next time without them becoming stagnant in the unused aquarium...as you rightly say, it is a QT, so not in full time use. You can empty the QT, rinse the artificial plants and put them away til you need to cycle again for new or ill fish later.

Thank you!!!

😬😬 dont know if I can plant it... Sorry. I'll have some fast growing red rooters maybe but thats it... I will have a sponge filter and it will be cycled.
Plants don't need to be planted. Just having them hanging around in the water will be sufficient for most.
Root feeders will also feed through their leaves and stems.
Stem feeders will also feed through their roots.
Floaters will...well...you'll know about floaters by now. ;)

Anacharis/elodea/egeria densa (same plant, different names) is just about the cheapest plant and the stems can be left floating. If you don't mind a bit of outlay for a 'disposable' plant, this is ideal for a QT.

Ill check it out! Thanks.
