although very robust, the PSG really doesnt have a large mouth gape for his size, yet my horse faced loach of equal length i guess became lunch.

great fish used to keep them a few years back andthey got very big and looked so cool

my lfs bred them as they kept a few from the same batch

didn;t know they were brackish though, theybred them in fresh

Mogurnda mogurnda is a freshwater fish, but like other freshwater Eleotridae I'm sure it'll tolerate low-end brackish conditions just fine.

They are opportunistic predators, like most Eleotridae, so yes, they'll catch and eat anything they can. I'd have assumed adult horseface loaches would be too big and too fast for them, especially in tanks with a sandy substrate into which the loaches can burrow.

Cheers, Neale

ya i think the loach just got unlucky, cause the substrate is very fine argonite sand and they are almost always burried in it and not visible (except at night). the loach was in there for about 2 months now, just wrong tank spot wrong time. If i get another one, im sure but a full grown one so he doesnt end up as supper to. But btw, the psg was half his size 3 months ago, he was getting punked by my knight goby, now hes like double the size of the goby at around 4 inches, so he still might grown an inch or two.
