Hiya, I think that was the root of my problem, because he hadnt eaten in the shop I started hand feeding him straight away. It took him about 2 minutes to come to my hand for food from under the filter, then each time my hand came into the tank he had food. I fed him little and often for the first few days then gradually cut it down. I think he is imprinted that seeing me means food.
