Hi!:D my most recent platys have come to me! They're red wags and unfortunately are afraid of me (i need help with that too, I mean I feed you why are you even scared). The tiny female I got, Ruby, is pregnant, and since the last time I got a pregnant fish in my tank, the fry all died, so i'm PANICKING. OKAY OKAY OKAY OKAY I just looked in the tank and shes boxed off what do i do??? I have a LOT of questions.
1. Should I put her in one of those breeder box thingys when shes about to have them and take her out when shes done???
2. Should I raise the fry in the breeder box in the main tank, not in the breeder box in my main tank, or in my ancient goldfish bowl????
3.If shes squared right now then whens her due date????????
4. WHAT IS HAPPENING?????????????????????????? Nevermind, she's acting great and swimming around, what does this mean????
5. SOMETHING is poking out of her poop (hehehehe im so immature) hole, is it poop (hehehehe) or a baby?????????????
6. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH????????
7. Thank you! all responses are welcome!!!!!

OMGOMGOMGOMG SHE JUST POOPED OUT A BABY WHAT DO I DOOOOOO

It'll take some time for them to settle in and get used to you. Once they figure out you bring food they'll greet and beg! :)

1) I would not put her in a breeder box. They are quite stressful for them.
2) It may sound harsh but I'd just let the fry grow in the main tank. Some or most will get eaten..but if you try and save every fry you are going to be overstocked very quickly.
3) I'm not experienced enough in livebearers to give you a time frame..I think it's hard to do that anyways. If you can post a picture someone may be able to give you a guess on that.
5) It could be either.

Remember to stay calm, it doesn't help your fish (or you) to get panicked :)

I'm not trying to be rude or attack you, but I posted some issues about your tank on your platy pecking thread. I highly recommend you upgrade the tank ASAP.
Do you have a test kit btw so you can check water parameters?

ok thanks for the advice :D

(PS I probably shouldnt be saying this but I'm just a kid and- well parent's rules can't have anything bigger than 5 gal, I guess I should be more responsible with overcrowding,

I know you won't like this but..is there any chance of you re-homing the fish you currently have and getting something more suitable? I mean that in the most polite way possible!

A betta would be a good fit, so long as you have a heater. :)

Okay, thanks for the advice :D I don't know what to do, these fish have sentimental value and are important to me, but I don't want them hurt. I know I shouldn't be selfish but... ah nevermind i'll think about it tomorrow, thanks for the help and being king anyways :D

sorry I meant being kind :D I'll think about your suggestions and work something out :D
