I think i know the reason, but all of my fish (tetras) are grouping in one corner, i have 3-4 pregnant neons, are they waiting to eat the fry. Q2 how many neons could i put in creche

Neons don't give birth to live fry, they're egg scatterers.
Have you tested your water, if so what are the readings?
How big is the tank & what other fish are in it?
If it isn't a water problem it could be that the tetras are intimidated by other occupants, especially if they're in a too small school

I had to buy a new tank 96l (same size as last one) so did a large water change, haven't tested water yet, i do have a bristle nose plec but it is still only small... 2 mollies ( also stay to one side) harlequins, rummy noses, glow lights, white tips, and just got.... Rainbows(can't remember first name), i used old media filter to establish new water

Can you give us he numbers of each fish? Also what Rainbows? Many would be unsuitable for a tank that size.

1 plec 2 mollies 1 glow light 3 harlequins 5 white tips 4 rummy noses 10 neons the rainbows are silver with red outline on fins and tail with a blue hue on body( i would upload a pic but dont know how too,i have 3

You're keeping quite a few of the fish in insufficient numbers, most of them need 6+.
Try uploading the picture to a photo-sharing website such as photobucket and link here, if you can please :)

apoligies for this how do i get it from photobucket to here :-(

They're dwarf neon rainbows, Melanotaenia praecox I'm pretty sure.

Thank you, just got water tested from LFS they said alls ok, only forgot to ask for the readings, durr!!

I haven't totted up numbers but it strikes me as quite a few fish in there as well. Sounds like stress to me, a combination of too many fish overall but not enough of each species.

I always take a LFS "everyfingz foine" with a pinch of salt, you may well have ammonia issues too. I definitely recommend getting your own liquid tests.

Ok thanks for all the replies. :) i'll let you know how things go
