After noticing a few people don't know how to post pics up on other sections other than 'Member's Aquarium and Fish Pictures' I looked around for an article explaining how to do it, but I couldn't find one so here's one. I'm sorry if it's already been written.

First you need to get your image uploaded somewhere. http://photobucket.com & http://www.imageshack.us are very popular. In this very basic tutorial we're going to look at hosting with photobucket.com.

Step 1: Go to http://photobucket.com and you should see a big red button labelled 'Register Now'. Click it, and another page should load with a box for your username and password. Fill in those details and click the -'->Next Step' button at the bottom right of the page.

Step 2: Now here's the last step of the registration. Fill in your details, check the box 'I agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy' if you agree. Then click 'Done'.

Step 3: The next page should have this 'Thanks for registering, begin uploading here!' If not, then you've screwed up somewhere! In the middle of the page should be a box with the heading 'Choose an image (or a video)' and under it and white box with 'Browse' to the side. Click the 'Browse' button and choose the image you want to upload from your computer. Then click 'Upload' you then have the option to enter a title for your image.

Step 4: Now you have your image uploaded you can add it to your post on the forums. To do this you need to copy and paste the 'URL Link' then go into your new post and click the tree thing.

Then paste the link into the box provided, click OK and weird little thing should appear. But don't worry when you preview or post your post then the image should show :D

[b]Step 5: [/b]Congratulate yourself :P

Hopefully that helps a few people out. If I've made some errors like spelling and grammar or even content, please PM me. Also people might have trouble with file sizes and image sizes. If so, then you can use this article to help [url="http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=114969"]http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=114969[/url]

think you may find the IMG link is the best to use. you can just past this into the body of your post.

No they don't. URL link gives a clickable link to the picture. IMG tags put the picture in the post.
Either works, but IMG makes it easier on the viewers :) (Read people too lazy to click...)
*edit: Good guide tho, should help those who are struggling :D

Did you guys read it?

Becasue it puts the URL in the IMG tags..

Thats what the Tree Icon does..you click the Tree enter the URL and press ok, and it puts it in IMG tags. So you can see the pic..

Thanks. I used it to link to someone today so hopefully it does help.

EDIT: I've noticed that for some reason it missed out the
