Thought it might be interesting to see how people's tap water stats vary, and from what areas they come from.

Mine is ph 7.5 and nitrates are 5ppm. I live in Southampton, UK.

darlington ph 7.7 nitrates 5->10

Orlando, Florida (US)--- PH- 8.0/// Ammonia- .50 (WHY?) /// Nitrites- 0 /// Nitrates- 0 Very hard also

Out of the Southampton (Bitterne) tap: pH 8.2; gH 14.5; NO[sub]3 [/sub]~25; NO[sub]2 [/sub]0; NH[sub]3 [/sub]0

In tank with CO[sub]2 [/sub]system: pH 7.5; gH 13.5-14.5; NO[sub]3 [/sub]0-5; NO[sub]2 [/sub]0; NH[sub]3 [/sub]0

Blimey, everyone's is really alkaline. Why is this ? Is it down to water treatment ?

My water has come up ideal. pH is at 7.4, Ammonia is trace, Also the Nitrites and Nitrates are very low.
The water is medium hardness in my area, I think. Lancashire, England.

James.

Hi Alan,

Strangely enough I have the same as you!

Am sure it helped Eisenhower to settle in so quickly.
