Hey there,

I recently bought a male and female Siemese fighter fish, and this morning I noticed a lot of what looked like bubble on the surface on the water. Know doing my research in some books I have, I know that this is how fighter fish lay there eggs.

I know for a fact there are not bubbles as they don't pop when touched. I also noticed that my khuli loach was watching them in the corner of the tank.

I need to know if they are eggs or not. what do I do with it?

Did it say in any of those books that 'male and female bettas should not be kept together unless for breeding'? if not i'd bin them.

If you do not seperate these they will most likely try to kill each other.

I cant see those pics, but if their not bubbles and your sure of it, they must be eggs. If your prepared to keep and raise over 100 or more betta fry, you'll need a tank as large as 40-50 gallons, until they are big enough to sex.

If they are still together now, find a large enough container to seperate one of them, one will surely get killed.

Ask questions in the 'betta' section, you'll get alot more help.

you must seperate the male and females immediately, if the bubbles contain white blobs they are the eggs

I agree. Maby purchase a divider? Also, just because they don't pop when touched doesn't mean they arn't bubbles. The bubbles bettas blow have a slimy mucus covering which makes them much stronger than a bubble :)
