I am getting some wood ready for one of my breeder aquariums (From a Pecan Tree) and I know Bristlenose like wood, so if I made a wooden breeding cave, would they eat it all eventually? If this is a not so smart question or one that has already been posted, then I am sorry.

I don't think that bristlenose could eat a whole cave of wood in its lifetime tbh. :)

Post some pictures when it's done! I've been wanting to do something similar for inside my community tank, and I'd love to see how your's turns out.

Alright I will, but it will take a while. Also, I have cleaned off the wood and I "Skinned" the branch and I think it is very clean, I burnt it a little (found a bug trail) and now i set it in a bucket with a rock to hold it down. Going to boil the wood tomorrow... I am excited to see how it turns out. So I guess I have another question.... where should I put the hole? I was thinking casual in the front but then I thought what about the middle?

Watching my male Bristlenose male fertilize a batch of eggs underneath a bit of bogwood :) Shame everything else will eat the eggs/fry :p

Nope . My two don't care as long as its underneath something! Previous few spawns have been dug underneath some slate in the sand.
