Plecos

Well I've kept plecos before and I know what they're all about and my last rubber lip pleco died of old age.

Well I want to get another pleco, one that stays under 6 inches would be nice, colorful (if possible), not too expensive and not agressive towards tetras, corys, and rams.

All suggestions appreciated

How big is the tank?
Bristlenose plec
clown plec
chocolate zebra plec
Would all work and the first to are really common but the 3rd can be a bit rarer and cost abit more.

Like Kizno said your Bristlenose and Clowns are readily available and cheap. If you want a more unique pleco its best looking what you have in your area because whats available can be very from place to place.

Alright thanks guys my tank is 24gal so about 190 liters i think and as i said im looking for plecos that dont exceed 6-7 inches.

Hi peter,

A 24gal tank is between 90-110L depending on if you are using US gallons or imperial gallon to measure it so it would be better if you could measure your tanks dimensions and post them so can work it out properly.

i would go for bristlenose plecs

• cheap
• friendly
• can get albinos
• stay small (6 inch max)
• easy to breed

and the bristles look cool
