eating a carp!!!!, and how did it fit?? ahah

Carps are a source of food here. But they look so much like goldfish...

Well, as you can see in the pic, it was only a teenage one or something like that. Here's how it happened:
At his workplace, dad went fishing with... a handkerchief at the lake in that place. He used it as a net to catch a bunch of small carps.
He then bought home a big bag full of fish. I heard a noise coming from it and was curious to see what it was. I saw a tail moving. I took the fish out and saw him, he was so beautiful, I felt sorry for the poor little guy.
So I plopped him into the tank. He looked like a whale compared to most other fish in there. LOL. Bigger than my biggest hoplo, which was around 15 cm.

He held on till 2009 or so, didn't grow much due to the small space though. Then I found him dead, I don't remember exactly what happened but all I know is that dad was in charge of feeding during that time and I found the water stinky and my carp was floating in there when I came home. Dad's known to have somehow managed to turn the tank water into a mess when he was left to take care of the fish. -.-
I fear of letting him in charge again this year. Idk how my current Hoplo survived that for 9 years.
Well, at least I've got my tank set up properly now so less worries... just hope dad doesn't mess up the feeding. -.-

I don't know if good or not, but at least the little guy lived longer. Too bad he didn't live better though, I wish I had a HUGE tank to keep him in, he'd probably be with me by now for many years to come.
My current tank is in my signature, along with my cuties. If you can't see it, here's what it says:

76L waiting for plants to grow, Tzuppy [Hoplo] (male), Cracker [black berlin swordtail] (male),Bee [blood-red swordtail] (female), Ramses [ramshorn snail], 2 swordtail fry.

Got the swordies for 4 months now. X) and their fry are about 2 weeks old. Slow growing due to breeding net though.
The hoplo's my oldest fish, had him since 2003, you can see a younger Tzuppy in that pic up there, he's the one in the back. Pic taken in 2005 according to creation date.

Here's my current setup, waiting for the fry to grow so they can be put with the adults, then I'll get with some aquascaping, as I only have a water sprite that barely now started doing well. When my dad bought it, it was all dead leaves, I had a lot of cleaning to do after it within the first 2 weeks.

And I tried to catch my snail but he's too small for the phone's camera to catch... He's that yellow and black blob near the filter's pipe.

Man, I hate this blackberry. My old Nokia could take better pics, but I gave it to mom. X_X
