afternoon all,

could you all take some time to sign this petition for me please! ive started this, and i need as many as people to sign it, if you agree with it,

it explains itself, but basically its to stop fun fairs giving goldfish away as prizes!,

Whilst I have signed up to the petition (number 53 methinks), how many fish keepers do we have in this country who would sign this so that it reaches the 100,000 target to be discussed in Parliament? I think that fishkeepers are like railway modellers (yes I am one of those as well) in that we are in a minority.
I hope that the minority exceeds 100,000 and that all sign up to the petition.

It is already illegal to give goldfish as a prize to unaccompanied under 16s.

I've had trouble with goldfish too when I was a kid, but I wasn't the one who asked for them. My dad was fond of those critters and dumped a bunch of them fantails in my old 40L tank.
I ended up with this disaster... -.-

They lived for a few more years before dying eventually. And I had no idea what to do about them, I didn't even ask for them but fed them / did water changes for them anyway, though I had no idea how to properly care for a tank... -.-

A lot of us made mistakes anyway. I put a crucian carp in that 40L instead of eating it like dad planned for it. It's in the pic.
