EDIT: I prefer bigger fish, but not when they are in a tank that would not suit them properly. Also the tank layout looks much better in the 2nd picture. I also dont like parrot fish though . Angel fish are nice, but i would understand why your husband liked the oscars more.

Shouldn't they be together? They were always fine. The oscars were very placid, kinda lazy. The sad thing is, we gave them to my uncle, who had a 75g just for them, and within a month they'd both died.

I know, I said to ignore the fish We didn't have it overstocked, the oscars went after about a week.

Those 3-spot gouromis are tougher then people think they are. They are usually fine with oscars and other cichlids because they stay near the top of the water and dont bother the bigger fish. Then can be nasty to other fish also.

its not just the tank thats better removing those messed up hybrid rubbish parrot was a great move

Well, to be fair T1KARMANN, do you not feel like everyone who owns a pet has played god? So your lovely ray there is no different to a parrot fish.

I think parrots are lovely, but do agree that hybrids shouldn't be encouraged. But if they're already alive, then dont they deserve a good home too?

Personally I think it's bad manners to come on and say nasty things about someone's pets, but maybe I'm just a bit sensitive.

its my opinion and im intitled to it

my rays are captive bred my arowana is captive bred and they have not been messed with by man so they cant even swim properly or close their mouth properly and have messed up gill plates or color injected into them to make them sell better

a true fishkeeper with a passion for the hobby wouldnt buy such a fish as a parrot

im sorry but thats what i think and as long as this thread is not in the hybrid forum i think i am alloowed to state my opinion
