i have posted this before but still having no luck


i cant get my pair of clown plecs to eat anything else but

bllodworm pellets
crab pellets
shrimp pellets

anything wi meat in it seems to work

they wont eat any veg tried cucumber, zucchini etc

they wont touch algae pellets wafers etc

what do i do as im worrying now as this wont be enough for their diet
they do have bogwood as they are wood eaters but...

Have you tried mixing some of your pellets into a powder and then marinading some cucumber, zucchini etc This way they might recognise the taste of the meat but may also be enough to ween them into eating some of the vegatable flesh. Worth a try if anything.

Here is what Planet Catfish says about the feeding of clowm plecos:

A wood-eating fish, the tank should be decorated with several different types of driftwood. These fish really like to have something to chew on and squash, cucumber, and other vegetables should be readily available to them (yams are a favourite). Supplement two to three times weekly with frozen foods.
