Please Help Me Choose My Next Fish Tank

no lol, my rooms in the basement!

although would it be a problem upstairs, if in future i move house or something?

lol well no problems there then! you need to bare in mind that water weighs just under a kilo per litre. so 87 g is 395 litres so once you got the tank etc your looking at around half a metric ton

no image there. as for the hood if i had to guess id say open meant open topped and flat meant with hinged lid?

ok thanks, there is a picture of open which shows it with just a rim around the edge and sliding glass

oh and mark can i ask were you got your lights from

urmston aquatics. online. unit was 26 think the tubes were about a tenner each

well went to my lfs today (maidenhead) and they have a fluval roma 240 with cabinet, external filter, heater and other extras for £350

plus if i can find it cheaper on the internet, which i doubt they will match it

so i think i might go for this one

personally i wouldnt buy the roma. i was going to get 1 from the internet before i got my tank from nd. then i saw 1 in the shop. very cheaply made no real feel of quality imo. and before people start moaning il just state that it is purely MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION that they like most "package tanks" are vastly over-priced cheaply made and really not worth the money .but at the end of the day its personal choice its you that has to be happy with it not me . whichever tank you buy have fun settin it up and enjoy it :good:

if you want to try and find the roma cheaper online try warehouse aquatics ive found them to bee very cheap on most things

ok thanks

i know what you mean about the tanks, i havnt had a proper look yet just a breif one. at the end of the day though as long as it holds water, and keeps my fish happey and healthy then im not too fussed.

im only 16 so money is kinda an issue

i will check out warehouse aquatics

thanks for your help

i found this tank

<a href="http://www.seapets.co.uk/products/roma-240...?ref=googlebase" target="_blank">http://www.seapets.co.uk/products/roma-240...?ref=googlebase</a>

which is tank and cabinet for £250 (100 pounds cheaper then maidenhead) however because it has a free stand do you think they will accept it?

also does anyone know seapets delivery price because that has to be included

edit: im on about maidenhead matching the price thing by the way
delivery is £45
