Please Help Me Choose My Next Fish Tank

electronics

just had an idea, go to the tip and im sure i could find a cabinet there. probably spend no more then £20 and can always reinforce it if needed. will just have to jump up and down on it to make sure it is strong enough!
go to wickes, and buy kitchen units long enough for your tank, or make them fit the units. and then re inforce them

well im 16 and have an A grade at gcse tech but thats as far as it goes!

yuou have to pay £70 for lights and fitting etc, do you know what lights, how many that would be?

no you dont. dont get any hardware from them just the tank. i paid 26 quid for my twin t8 lighting unit.

how would you go about reinforcing?
some 2*2 timber, with brackets, and cut at 45o angles to make diagonal struts, and some cross members will help too, do some research on re inforcment, someone on ultimate reef did this, i will send you a link via PM if this is okay with the mods?

add 3x2 wood across and diagonally all the way through each one to stenghten

just thought;; they come on thouse crappy little legs though, i doubt these would hold

i would probably take them out or compleatly lower them

i bought a 4x2x2 which comes out at 453 litres/100uk gallons. in black with black silicone , cabinet with door either end and shelf in the centre . it takes pride of place in my living room

1 point to consider there. thats a hell of a lot of weight id make sure the joists can take the weight 1st or it could end up taking pride of place in the living room via the ceiling!!
