ok well youve done the right thing ( washing the filter in tank water).. we all have our own veiws on our fish spose, nothing wrong with that..
can you possibly put a pic up of the tank?
what may have happened is that the levels have got too high and its just been too late to do anything about, ideally when a tank is established, the water needs to be tested on a weekly basis.. they have even told you that a bad reading is a good one,so may have been doing this on previous tests too
, so any chance you can get your own kit? they last for 800 tests and its money well invested if it catches a problem early enough to fix it
