Will guppies breed if i put 1 male and 2 female?

Maybe, maybe not, it depends on whether or not they're happy to breed, but in most cases yes they will, very prolifically.

yeh i wanted to save on money buy them breeding. im asking if they breed with 1 and 2 just to make sure.

If I were you, I's buy one pregnant female from the shop, pop her in a nicely heated little tank with a big handful of pondweed and let her give birth in peace and quiet and raise the fry.

Cheap and easy and loads of fun; that's how I started with trops; costs you hardly anything in food and water changes are really simple; you can just do a couple of jug fulls of an evening.

I sometimes think people are forgetting the fun of just getting to know one or two fish; you don't need to stock every tank to full capacity and there is room in the hobby for smaller tanks.

in most fish stores the males and females are kept from each other. decides if i mate 2 guppies that look like eachother will the fry? just out of curiososity.<-----fail attempt at spelling.

It depends on the parents genetics and which genes are dominant and recessive, you'll have at least 25% that look like the parents though theoretically.

Most of the guppies in the LFS have at some point been in a mixed sex tank, probably at the suppliers.
I dont think I have ever gone to a fish shop and not seen pregnant guppies.
It really all depends if you want to try and mix your own colours which at a guess you do.
