sent my father out to get some playsand from argos but he was in b and q so got their own brand. is it the same? i noticed its darker in appearance, so will it be ok??

hi, it'll be fine. all play sand is good. the colour doesn't really matter, although i prefer a darker sand, as the fish look more colourful. :good:

All play sand as far as I know is toxin-free and therefore is chemically safe.

You may over time just want to watch how compacted the sand may become as it will likely have many different sized granules. Different sized granules mean the sand can compact on itself which is only a concern if you're planted.
