hi i had some platy fry about a week a go i have them in breeder trap at moment. i just had some questions.
how long before i can release them back into aquarium.
how old before i can tell what sex they are.
how old before they will start breeding.

The answer to your first question depends. You will have to decide when they're big enough to go back into the tank. When you decide to put them in, put them in in a group and make sure they're big enough to not land in other fish's mouths.
You can probably start sexing your fish at about 4 weeks although it will take lots of time and probably a flashlight. I think that after two or three months it will be pretty obvious what sex they are.
Your platys will probably start being able to mate a little bit after they get their sexes. I'm not really sure about that though.
