Platy From Israel

I think they call the tail shape on that fish a pintail. It is a shape that lots of people have worked to develop in mollies and I see they are now working on it in platies. That is a nice fish you have there.

Right lol.....so would i describe her as a red tuxedo with a pintail platy ?

The fry are a lovely deep red even at a couple of days old. :rolleyes:
 
If the tail is pointed it's a pin tail.
If it's frilly/plumed in shape then it's a plume tail.

I stand corrected HS, make that a plume tail.
I am really just a wild type breeder that sees lots of those fancy fish around the same hobby.

Hi all. Okay so its a plume tail. Many thanks for the info it is really appreciated.
I have picked up 2 more plume tail today.
The fry are coming along just great :good: they are getting a deeper red by the day and seem so full of life. Its great and really exciting to watch them grow.
