Hi again everyone.
Just wanted to know if anyone has got the "new on the market" platy from Israel??.
When we went to our fish breeder we spotted these really striking platies that were a definite must have. The breeder hand picked these hiself, he travels the world buying new types etc.
These are a vivid really stunning deep red with black markings and a fan tale. I wish i could post a pic to show you all. She is extremely gravid, squared off with white spot and really excited that we will have fry from her.
I have spent hours on the net looking for the same and it just is not possible.
She is going up and down one corner of the tank and occasionally hiding in the grass and plants. Again, same as another topic i posted, i dont want to put her in a net but at the same time dont want to risk losing any fry. I got 3 females and 1 male. All females look gravid but this one is so close. I paid a small fortune for these and they really are stunning. I cant really describe the colour correctly as its just so different. Maybe a pointsetier colour (sorry i cant spell it, im meaning the christmas plants you buy)
Any way i will be really interested if anyone knows what i am referring too or if anyone else has these.

Hi aquamad :)

I will move your thread over to the Livebearers section. The chances of getting a response from someone who has seen these fish will be greater.

Hi there, thanks for the link.
Unfortunately no they are not like that at all. I have tried to take pictures but when i upload them it says "not aloud on this board" Not sure why it says this. I have tried all different ways....but will keep trying.
Their tails are a loveheart shape.
My female drpped her fry that evening and she dropped 27.
Was sooooooo pleased.

sign up 4 a photobucket account and try uploading them that way and if that doesnt work try uploading them linking them from another website and if that doesnt work pm me for my email and i will try for u :)

p.s. can u tell i really wanna see them lol

Posting pictures here is done using a reference only Aquamad. An external photo storage location like photobucket works fine for that. Once you have loaded the picture to the photostorage, simply copy the link that starts out with [img.....] and paste it here as if it were so much text. In place of the image link text, you will see a picture like this one I took of a harbor seal on the west coast of the US.

If you right click a picture here and then read the image info, you will find where the picture is really stored listed among those properties.

Looks like you've tried to use the picture insert button but also typed in the [ img ] tags.

You only need to put the url in if you're using the button. :)

I could post them if you like?

Let me see if I can get that thing to show here
