ok i have had a look.

do they need to be kept in shoals or could i just have 2 females and one male?

they will breed, go for 3 females

2 females and one female will be fine if you have room to house the fry. Otherwise, stick to males only as females will have bred while in the pet shop and can produce fry for 6 months after that.
