Platies Vs. Mollies

I prefer Platies becasue of their color, but I do like Mollies as well

Mollies usually do better in slightly brackish environments.
But... I don't like either. They overpopulate.

wild caught variatus platies are pretty flash to look at, and platies are a nice sized fish. However, good quality sailfin mollies look pretty stunning when full grown and they show off to one another.
What a choice, hmm probably platies due to there being more colour forms available. But then again, dalmation and sunset mollies are pretty colourful too.

aren't some mollies more prone to disease?

no more prone than platies or any other fish. If you give them good conditions and get disease free stock they should all be fine

Platies, for colour. Although I do like some mollies too.

I prefer platies, but only because I really hate mollys...I dont really know why though

I like mollies more, and still have quite a few

I keep high-fin platies and I absolutely adore them.
