Please help :)

I have tried courgette, cucumber and peas not not had any interest in none? i want to give them a balance meal apart from flakes . I done what people asked par-boiled them and cutting them up in small pieces, they put the veg in there mouths and spits it back out. Does it take time to get use to the veg of is there a veg that they will only eat. Evey-where i look other people are not having this problem so what i'm i doing wrong :(

Mine are the same, wont touch any veg. They do go crazy for the pleco algae tablets I drop in for my ancistrus though. So much so, it ends up like a wrestling match between my ancistrus and the platys

So it's not only me then, I have got some pleco wafers but thought were only for plecs and catfish? so i was saving them for my cory cats when i get them. So do you think i should try them with the wafers do i have to make them soft in hot water first. Thank's John

chuck the algae wafers in, they love them. They soften up gradually normally. You might not see much interest in it, but within 2 days I bet it will be gone. Feed just half if youre worried they wont eat it.

If you want more variety for them, feed them some live food or live frozen food. Mine love daphia, bloodworms, brine shrimp etc

hi, other fish love algae wafers as they have shrimp in them, which fish love!

cheers :good:

The algae wafers are the best way that I know to give your fish the much needed vegetable content in their diet. I do that regularly when I do not have any spirulina flake on hand. You might be surprised to find how many different fish do better on a spirulina flake diet than any other staple diet.
