You might try Java Ferns. They are supposedly tough and bitter tasting.

Are you absolutely sure it was your rams? Mine have never shown an interest in plants, do you have loaches by any chance? Whatever; the question remains the same, I guess.

I have rams *and* loaches in my tank, neither have taken a fancy to the Amazon swords...which reminds me, I need to prune lol!
