Planting Plants

i got my new plants in the post yesterday- need to plant them today

got some foam and lead with them? any ideas what its for and do i use it?

The foam is wrapped around the plant, then the lead on top... the lead weighs the plants down to stop it floating, and the foam protects the stem from damage due to pinching of the lead !

All in all a complete waste of time IMO... If you cannot "plant" them due to lack of roots, GENTLY wrap a largish bit of lead around the top of the roots LOOSLY, after the plant is established I like to remove it again.
