The tank is 18in x 12in x 15in. (13 US Gallons) Current lighting is a 10w tube, soon to be increased to 2 tubes (10w + 14w) with reflectors. That gives 1.8wpg. The CO2 system will be the nutrafin with DIY yeast mix (if required). Substrate is eco-complete.

In the plan the grey area is some bogwood (not bought it yet so size might vary!)

Back left is Egeria Densa, the bogwood will have java moss and fern on it and front right is planed to be some dwarf sag.

Does that plan look ok?

Any ideas for the front left area and the back right? Please bear in mind it my first attempt at a planted tank! (probably stock with 6-8 Neon Tetras, 6 Corys....maybe a betta, maybe a couple of shrimp??)

Hi.
Looks good to me. I have the same tank (not planted). With 24W of light you should be able to grow almost anything. But you have to be careful, you will get hit with algae without proper ferts or CO2.
Have you thought about ferts? I reccomend Tropica Plant Nutrition if you decide to add more fish.Tropica Plant Nutrition+ if you stick with that many fish.
For the plant at the back, consider Rotala rotundifolia, for the plant at the front, consider Cryptocoryne undulata.
