Plant Pot

Hi

Just wanted to know if it was Ok for me to buy a clay plant pot from my local garden centre and put it into my tank as a dark hiding place for the catfish??

May be a stupid question, but didnt know if the clay would give off something that maybe harmful for the fish?

I will soak it in a bucket first..

Yes, plenty of people use them . as long as you wash i in hot water first you're good to go.

yes the terracotta is good to go, as honeythorn said wash first....
also people use pvc drain pipe's and pvc drain pipe corner's, i have a small one in my small tank which is hidden under the gravel for the spiney eel to use as a home

I've had plant pots in most of my tanks on and off for some time now. Never caused me a problem. Just make sure they're washed well before you use them.

I added 2 today into my tank , washed them in hot water before hand though ,, corys love them
