I'm not from the UK, so take this for what it is worth.

To start with, a cottony looking growth is usually (99.9% of the time) a bacterial infection known as columnaris. There are many different strains of this, some are very virulent and kill quickly, others are much more treatable. The best treatments for this are antibiotics, which unfortunately, are not avaliable in the UK without a perscription from a vet.

I did a quick search on eSHa 2000 and here is what i found
eSHa 2000 treats a wide range of fungal, bacterial and parasitic infections, helps heal wounds and protects the skin layer. Use eSHa 2000 for Fungus, Dropsy, bacteria, skin problems, gill problems, fin rot, tail rot, ulcers and wounds. Also for Neon Tetra disease and many others.

In general, i try to avoid cure-alls, because they have such a range of things thrown in them. Also if they have the correct meds in them, they can be a lower dose than optimal. I'd look for a specific antibacterial medicine to use instead of a cure all.
