Pictus Catfish

hi i have recently got a pictus catfish at the mo he is quite small id say about the 3 inch mark. so heres my problem ..... i know he is predatory and i would love to ad some inverts im guessing things like amano shrimp would get eaten? have seen some nice bamboo shrimp and some african filter shrimp both about 3 inches at lfs would they be safe with him when he gets bigger?

i would have said so, it never touched my bamboo shrimp. the rule i was told was nothing small enough to fit in its mouth, was safe. many shrimp settle in places that makes it hard for the pictus to catch them anyway.
