I was playing with the camera last night and Plec (my BN - original name huh?) came out. He is so beautiful I took a pic.

And here is the mid section of his tank (was having great trouble getting the whole thing in!).

Incidentally the apple snail is new and will eventually be going into my new aqua start 320 but until it is cycled, he's living here. I've had him a week now and I'm really struggling to think of a name - any suggestions?

Hmm - quite liking Sean! I used to have a rabbit called Brian so don't want to re-use it - good call though!

What about Blob for the apple snail or maybe Helmet.

I named my apple snail smedley, but he died... no idea why.

Hiya - thanks for the comments. Plec is about 3-4 inches I reckon - he's pretty outgoing for a Plec too - out and about a lot of the time in the evening (he sticks himself to the back of the wood during the day!!). Eats like a horse!! When I got him he was one of those tiny half inch long jobbys in the fish shop - I love him!!

We had a chat about the snail's name and came up with Arnie (started as Arnold but Arnie sounded funnier). I think Helmet is a great name too though - maybe I'll have to get another to stay in this tank and call him Helmet!!
