Pics Of Our Fish

Hi all. I'm new to the forum and wanted to share pics of my new fish. We just set up a 10g tank and added three fish. I know their basic breeds but was wondering if anyone knew their exact breeds. Thanks for looking!

Hi welcome to the forum. Firstly those pics are pretty good That top one looks like its almost outside the tank
 
The three fish you have are a Polka Dot Loach - Botia Kubutai then an Angelfish and the last one is a Rainbow Shark. Unfortunately this is a pretty bad mix of fish for this size tank. All of these fish have the potential to grow to at least six inches long and the angel fish will grow to at least the size of a mans hand...

Hate to have to say it but I think I would rehome these three and find some other fish that are more suited to life in your tank.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with Wills. A 10 gallon tank is too small for any of these fish, let alone all three of them.  Polka dot loaches are indeed "boia kubotia". They prefer to be in groups of 6, but the very very minimum is 3-4. I am in now way advising you should pick up more of them as they require a much larger tank. http/www.loaches.com/species-index/botia-kubotai.  
 
I would rehome all three fish, there is still quite a few options for a 10 gallon

We wanted to start out with a 10g tank knowing we will have to upgrade, so that it our plan, that when the fish get bigger, we will tranfer them to a bigger tank.
 
Unfortunately, the loach died this morning. It looked like it had been struggling since we got him, so I am bringing him back to the pet store to get a refund. He was the fish my older daughter had picked so I have to replace him...

That's great that you plan to upgrade the tank. The size of your tank is also  important bc of how active the fish are, not just their size. Your two remaining fish still need much more room to be happy/healthy than a 10 gallon, even as juveniles.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to upgrade for a few weeks...I have to put money aside for a new tank, and come up with the space for a bigger tank.

Uhm, did you cycle your tank yet? And do you do water changes/gravel vacs at least once a week, or daily if the tank is cycling? Unless you're serious about getting a large enough tank for them 55-75 gallons within a few weeks or so I'd rehome them and instead get some dwarf corydoras, neon tetras, or other small fish that isn't too active. And please disregard anything that the lfs people say, they may be nice but they're really just sales people and for the most part don't know much about fish, or just want you to buy a fish and get out of there. Also, your lfs may make you bring in a sample of your water when returning a fish, and if the tank is cycling then you won't get a refund.
