Hi all

I nervously changed from my 20 gal tank to the 48 uk gal tank :good:

I managed to get the cycled media into the new external canister, prime it and start it :good: acclimatised fish for an hour or so then in they went.
I've got a two toned gravel effect, small gravel at the front and larger at the back, the back gravel was taken out of the 20 gal once i removed the fish!

The harleys love the tank, they won't keep still, shoaling all over the place
It's still a bit bare i need to get some tall plants for the back.

Just one question the filter outlet is below the water line at the top, with the spray bar rippling the surface is this ok?,i can't really put it any higher due to the double florescent tubes across the centre
I tested water stats hour after adding them,at the moment the ammonia/nitrite are both 0 :good:
Feedback on tank would be appreciated
here's a pic of tank

Looking good and no probelm having spray as is.... prime objective is ultimately just to circulate the water.

The ripples on the water surface means that you are getting good mixing and not ending up with stratified water in the tank. As long as the water mixes in the surface water well, the oxygen in the whole tank will be close to saturation for oxygen. That is exactly what you want to have.

i would've liked the spray bar over the top on the water, but the light fitting would've got wet so i'll have to contend with water ripplings instead :)

Thanks :)

I'm pleased to say the water stats are looking good at the moment from cloning the filter, ammonia and nitrite 0 :good: ,ph 7.8,
