How on earth do you guys get such cracking photo's of your fish and tanks?

I don't use a flash but always get glare from the glass and my fishies
just won't stay still and say cheese!

I usually find 5 hours worth of taking pictures can lead to at least 2 decent (ish) photos. lol. I don't have a snazzy camera so it's the only way i know. Alot of people have DSLR's with a seperate flash which is usually placed above the tank/fish. There is a sticky somewhere in one of the forum section, maybe under the photo section.

if you dont have a very hi tech camera, try using different camera settings, including "sports" mode if ur camera has it. It should allow u to focus on moving subjects a bit easier, etc. Like Minnnt said, it really just takes lots of time and luck.

Shoot in the dark also, relying purely on the tank lights for lighting, set the ISO around 200 if you're able to.

Playing with the settings is a great tip. I recently did this with my phone and managed to get some brilliant pictures.
