Hiya Craynerd , I was wondering what the name of those small round leaved plants in the middle of your tank was , I have some and would love to find out more info on it.

Hello Furryrabbit - the plant you are talking about is called Micranthemum umbrosum.

From Tropica Website

Micranthemum umbrosum is a beautiful plant with small round leaves. It is suitable for small or large aquariums. Relatively demanding in terms of light. CO2 addition is recommended to promote growth. Once the plant starts growing it grows fast, and the shoots have to be pinched out often (can be planted as cuttings in the bottom). Most beautiful in groups of many stems.

Its a great plant and one that i never intentially set out to have in my tank. BAiscally, the HM i ordered was dead on arrival, i rang a not so local (35miles) LFS who said they had it in at 3:45pm closing at 5pm.
I drove all the way there, arrived at 4:55pm and discovered they had read the wrong one. I planted it anyway and didnt like it at first. The stems are VERY thin, and it uproots on it own. Now however, i love the stuff. I keep shaping it and it grows and grows and must have a good root system since it never uproots.
Give it a go...its a lovely plant. Very light green in colour.
