They say to wait a day for the ACTUAL ph of your tap water to show itself. Well I have done this and it was 8.0 and went down to the low 7's So how come its so high in my fish tank when i don't wait for it to go down, it should still go down after a day right? Or is the tank (even without bubbles it still stays) doing something to keep it up? I dont get what the difference is.

Dont stress about Ph, it is somthing that is very hard to adjust so just ignore it. I havnt tested my Ph for 6 months or so.

Just like Aqua Tom said. Leave the pH alone and let it regulate itself. I worried about it, and tried to treat it under some bad advice, and lost 4 fish, including one that was born in the tank. Just let it ride
