Not really a fan of the chain stores, as I know a lot of people aren't, but my g/f lives in Daventry and this morning on my way home I quickly nipped into this store. Was pretty impressed with what they had in a small display. All very well looked after and a good selection of community fish aswell as a couple of oddballs!

The good thing was that the oddballs weren't mixed in with the communities, which I usually see at the big chain stores, and they all had really good information on them aswell.

Just thought I would let everyone know that there are some good fishkeepers working in some of these stores, as we/I am sometimes a little quick in knocking these shops.

i think it depends on the P@H as to how they care for their fish. We went in the one near the metro centre last week and UGH! They had a goldfish in a Biorb that was blatantly suffering with a swim bladder infection and was riddled with white spot. All the plants in the tanks, even the plant tank, were all rotting and of very poor condition, and a lot of the fish looked really badly taken care of and ill with one thing or another. Now the P@H in Teesside, whilst not the best LFS in the world, is definately a heck of a lot nicer than the metro centre one! (ive not bought fish from there but have bought plants)
