Hi,

No problems for ages and then here we go......

My Dad bless him brought me some Guppies for my main tank. They were in a few hours and then I noticed two parasites attached to one of them around the tail fin base. They were Anchor Worm ..... wonderful !!

I've removed the two Parasites from the guppy and it seems fine.

I've started treating the water with Potassium Permanganate (0.21G for a 144L tank - this was the direction on the pack, although I've added gradually over 3 hrs to avoid stressing the fish too much)

The question is - Will this be enough? I'm worried about eggs hatching or the treatment being too weak but I don't want to hurt the fish.

Thanks,

Chris

One of the best discussions I've ever found concerning the use of PP can be found here.

Thanks Tolak interesting reading ... so should I just treat the tank the one time?

Cheers,

Chris

One treatment doing it properly should do it.

Cheers just finished the water changes ......

Fish perking up now so looking good. I've not lost any yet and they are now scooting about after the water change.

Thanks for your help really appreciate it I looked all over and couldn't find anything.
