pecking order?

hey guys i was wathcing my fry today and noticed they occasionally chase each other around. is this establishing pecking order like cichlids, or just playing? thanks

Mine do this too. I think it probably is some sort of heirachy thing. Although twice I've seen the older fry having really vicious adult like fights (they're only 3/4 " long and wer 1/2 " the 1st time) and people here said they'd never seen anything like it. I have newborn fry only 1 week old and they are chasing each other already.
