Pearl Rays & Red Arowana

one of the limas was killed and half eaten by the motoros in the 300 so i took the other 2 to the shop yesterday

the pups are feeding well having 3 meals a day of bloodworm, earthworm and shrimp
i also got a new arowana to go with them
back to basics

Nice banjar mate I quiet like that one it has a nice colour. Those rays look so small mate I cant believe mine were that small a few months ago.

cheers mate :good:
its quite nice for a banjar a
the pups are tiny they are only 9 weeks old
im trying to get them on hikari pellets soaked id blood

My pups eat them they just started taking them straight out of the packet the little male is a bit more fussy but he eats them to thing is there more costly than prawn unless you know a surce for cheap pellets like Richard. :shifty:

The tails on those pearls are super long!

Nice looking arow, are banjars not normally considered nice looking?

Banjars are normlly considered a low grade but usually end up washed out alot of people prefer greens over banjar. But as you can see some have nice colours just when they get big usually it fades.

all arowanas are nice looking imo
grade 2 reds are just disappointing in the amount of colour they get
i still prefer them to greens

See where as I prefer greens over grade 2`s. lol
All down to personal taste. And still better than bettas.

Sure is, i preffer the Osteoglossum arowana's over the Scleropages for their actual body shape, though i have to admit the colours on the Asians are fantastic, though a good jardini can be pretty nice as well its just a shame they are so bloody aggressive.

its just the luck of the draw with banjars they can turn out real red but nothing like a grade 1 red

all depends how strong the red genes are compaired to the green genes

when i had a banjar for 2yrs their was always that thought in my mind if only it was a grade 1

a few new pics
they are darkening up between the spots
