Pearl Rays & Red Arowana

Ooooh, very nice cane, that female looks like her markings will be ace. Will they be the only ray inhabitants in the 300?

thanks mike
yeah they will be the only rays in the 300 and maybe a red arowana thats it
im gonna close down the 100g and do another ray set up next to the 300
possibly leos or p14 :shifty:

Sounds good cane, I think a really nice ST for the middle might set the tank off, cant wait to see it :good:

i will get one eventually but they are hard to get hold of
i forgot i also have a jumbo flagtail lined up for the 300

they are settled in and eating well, bloodworm, river shrimp and earthworm
they are still a little shy around me and they dont like the limas as you can see

thanks guys
the pups bury themselves a lot because of the catfish so i am putting the limas in the 300g tomorrow

wow nice rays.

I think my LFS has 3 of them, or 3 rays for about £400 each?

Just wish I had a big enough tank aswell as the knowledge.

What's the minimum size tank for a ray or 2?
And how experienced do you have to be?

I'm guessing you need more length and width rather then height?
3'x3'x1.5' be ok?

whats the name of this shop and where is it?
i doubt they are pearls they have, but i will phone and see what they have,a lfs would charge a lot more than £400 each id imagine(i know we would  )

your gonna need a minimum of a 6x2x2 for the smallest rays like scobina the next step would be something in the region of a 7x3x3 for motoro etc
rays are not hard to keep, all you need is big tanks and clean water with regular water changes and access to good forum always helps

now the pups have the 100g all to themselves they have stopped burying in the sand
and this way i can make sure they are getting all the food and keep the tank much cleaner
