Parasite Or Birth Killed My Platy?

I've had the platy for a good year now in with another female and male, it just died today
It gave birth once a few month back and ever since it just got so skinny!

Now correct me if im wrong but the only way i could of got internal parasites is from new tank mates?
I've not gotten any for a good 6month+ i'd say so this leaves me to think after the platy gave birth it got some problems?

I believe you can introduce parasites through infected live foods, and perhaps non sterilized frozen foods...
