Paranoia Setting In.

So I'm putting plants in my new second hand aquarium, as I'm pushing sand over some roots I noticed a movement in tank and unit. I'm guessing this is not good. How much movement is acceptable? Regardless of the answer I'm going to try and strengthen the unit with some strategically placed 4x2 timber. Any advice on how to carry this out would be appreciated, I would really like to try it without stripping the tank down again.

Depends a whole lot on how much movement, how easily and in what direction.
 
How to put braces on depends a lot on the construction of the cabinet to be honest, and again, what movement you're trying to stop.
