Paradise Tankmates?

Hi, i was wondering what are some good tankmates for paradise fish. Are they compatible with gouramis, loaches or rainbowfish. I think paradise are really beautiful fishes, but i heard they can be aggressive. So i was wondering if they can be in the same tanks as the fishes mentioned above? If not, what are some tankmates for paradise? Thank You.

I have a paradise fish and a female three spot gourami in the same tank together, and so far everything is fine ( about a year already). Rainbowfish like currents and paradise fish do not, so I would not recommend mixing these. YOu could add some bottom dwellers since the paradise fish is a top surface dweller.
