I'll have to keep an eye on him then, he might end up with the archers and scats.

And he thought that getting food with the puffers in the tank was difficult.........

Your waspfish eats live or frozen foods? What kind of puffers do you have? Couldnt you just raise the salinity in the same tank he is in?

He will only eat frozen food only if he's really hungry and only bloodworm. Mainly we feed him live brine shrimp, glassworm, etc...

We've got figure 8's. I know nmonks book says that you can take them to 1.010 but it seems that everyone advises less than 1.005.

power went out this morning around 5:30 am..... woke up to find my fish belly up from freezing cold water!! My house was 57 degrees. I rushed to bag him and place him in a bowl of warm water. Then placed him bagged into the SW tank to keep him warm. I was keeping the SW tank warm by floating hot water bags.

Power is back on and the waspfish is ok! :good: thank you Jesus!! Power out in winter sucks!

Wow great he survived, very lucky.

For the past week the wasp fish has had a swim bladder problem or some air suck in its digestive track. It is floating upside in tank and has seemed alright except for the obvious. Still shows good color and swims alot (tries)

Any suggestions on how to get it back to normal?!

I have found my problem....A few weeks ago I had a small fire in my basement! Thank the good Lord for smoke alarms! :good: I use a bucket full of water with a heater in it to preheat water going into my RO unit, well I neglected that bucket and it evaporated and the water heater caught fire at 4 am. In my panic to put the fire out and ventilate my smoke filled house I didnt think about my tanks.

I just went to do a water change and clean out the filter and there was black soot all inside of it! I have done a 50% water change and got new sponges and a whole lot of carbon! I will swap out the bio media next week...

So the soot is bad for my lungs and the fish also! I swapped out my furnace filter but never thought about my tanks...

Hopefully this will get him back to normal!

Some pics of the damage...

I apologize to any one interested in this thread, I havent been able to stay active lately.

Sadly my waspfish died a week after the last post. :/ Guess I knew that was going to happen.

I know I will set up another species tank in the future.
