Over Stocked Or Ok ?

dont worry if we cant identify it cos hes been pretty placid now ive taken my pleco out he only pics on fish bigger than him

one is a scissortail the other is a rasbora subtype or hybrid both shoal together so im not bothered too much

i still think you would be better of taking him back and getting more corys and rasboras because they need to be kept in groups.

ive had him for 1 yr now hes pretty settled in now but im getting more rasboras and corys to go in at some point he likes shoaling with them its not ideal but its only a 50litre tank (2ftx1ftx1ft) but one i idetify him i can get some firends

i should mention when i got him he was the same size as the other fish which is why i havent tried to identify him before

hes about 3inches and the rasboras are about 3 there full size now

getting two corys and rasboras in two weeks time i got 2 corys today after getting rid of a pleco little poo machine was messing with my ammonia levels

i dont have a clue what it is but if it grows much more i think you should take it back but if it stays that size and isnt fighting with the other fish then it should be ok.

cool btw corys are meant to be in shoals ?

the guy at the store said they are solitary but i bought two anyway

personally i would suggest getting a bigger tank ASAP. 50 litres is next to nothing, second hand 100L+ tanks are cheap as chips inclusive of stands etc on ebay and ur bound to have one local to u (check ebay and gumtree etc) and im sure u have a couple of square feet free in ur tank room to have a proper tank (I went from a 17L tank to a 90L tank then to a 240L tank in the space of 6 months)

Tiny tanks either make for cruel set-ups or having only a couple of fish in them

i know but unfortunately still reliant on bank of mum and dad also my "tank room" is the front hall also going to uni in years time and dont want to lumber my parents with technical fish so

untill then im going to have to deal with a small tank
